OriFlame claims that they use natural ingredients, that product extracts are sourced from nature and the cosmetic ingredients all undergo rigorous Eco-Ethical Screening to assess the source, safety, and quality. This basically highlights their product philosophy. 

With a good reputation in the MLM industry, can you really trust this program?

Let’s find out in this honest OriFlame review.

For the past 50 years, OriFlame company continues to grow and expand its operations globally. Their products are being sold all over Europe, Asia, Latin America, and Africa, and shipped to 60 countries. If you’re not familiar with the company, just think of Avon, NuSkin and MaryKay. All of these are the direct competitors of OriFlame

In 2004, OriFlame became a publicly-traded company on Nasdaq, an American stock exchange market. It was also reported that the company ranked 13th at 2018 Direct Selling News Global 100 for earning product sales totaling to $1.537 billion. 

What Products Does OriFlame Offer?

OriFlame offers 1,000+ Swedish beauty products that are known to be naturally-inspired and vegan. According to reports, the company has a Skin Research Institute where they develop and create new products. After this, the products are transferred to the research and development team for review and testing.

One of the good things about their product line is they cater to both male and female. However, despite the variety, the best-selling products are female-related. I’ve to browse through the web to check which of their products are the most popular. See the list below:

Do these products actually work? To be honest, I wouldn’t know as well. But based on my readings, there are no known side effects reported and linked with their products. Still, negative feedback are being submitted forward. I think this will always be the case in doing business under beauty consumerism.

How To Earn Money With OriFlame?

You can earn at Oriflame through retail commission. Product prices differ when you’re a registered beauty consultant as compared to the actual product price sold in their websites. So when you purchase discounted products and sell them at their original selling price, you actually get a commission cut. Using this as your selling strategy, it is fast and easy, and the commission that you will receive is high.

Other option to earn with this company would be the common MLM way – through recruitment, going up the rank and earning status levels and bonuses. You have to recruit downline team members and they will be your product distributors. You will receive commissions for all successful transactions done by your recruits.

In legal technicalities, OriFlame is not a scam. You have tangible and actual products being purchased and delivered to you. But just like all other MLMs, their business model and practice are what makes the company scam-like and shady. 

Selling products to your friends and social network is not wrong. But lines start to blur when you recruit people and make them your income-making machine. How? When your downline team continue to grow – imagine the structure of a pyramid – you also rise up to be part of the higher ranks, then you start earning through their efforts of recruiting and selling products.

It becomes an endless cycle that has a big potential to get chaotic because the people left at the bottom level must strive, left being scammed and not earning.

Also, I took the extra time to check whether there a lawsuits of any kind filed against OriFlame. I believe these factors are important for you to build your impression about the company and decide whether it is legit or a scam.

 Last year, Oriflame was charged for illegally using Fifa World Cup imagery in their visual content. This falls under copyright issues and laws. In the same year, Vietnam fined Oriflame for MLM violations.

In 2014, OriFlame’s office in Moscow was searched and seized to gather documents as proof for their tax violations. Oriflame objected, saying that their tax practices were in accordance with local and international legislation

Register as an OriFlame Beauty Consultant for free. But you need to purchase monthly or quarterly catalogs for $0.35 each to visually market the products to your potential customers. 

But you have to remember this: You have to make sales within a year or your consultant registration will be forfeited. You will be required to sign up again.

PROS

• It is actually cheap and easy to join OriFlame. It doesn’t ask for outrageous investment money or requires you to buy starter pack kits or subscription.
• You can earn through retail commissions and no longer recruit a downline team. You may not achieve a high rank or level status on this approach. But I think earning through retail commissions is pretty decent as compared to scamming members of your downline team.
• OriFlame has a wide variety of product to choose from. Plus, it is under the beauty consumerism industry which we all know is a big market. The competition might be tight, but it’s a market that won’t fade.

CONS

• It is still an MLM company. No matter how good and popular the products are globally, eventually, you’ll have to recruit people if you want to earn more and advance in your rand and status.
• In this market, competition are tight especially if you already have existing giants such as Avon with estimated $6 billion annual revenue, and Mary Kay reaching almost $4 billion. You have to double your efforts in order to sell. You’re lucky if you have a big network, an extrovert and very sociable.
• For some reason, OriFlame doesn’t operate and recruit distributors in the United States (US), which really puzzles me because let’s face it – the US market offers lots of opportunities to grow and expand the business clout. The company only ships products in the US, but no operations or distributors available.

I recommend OriFlame for people who are into beauty and cosmetics. People who are fond to try out different products, make a review and recommend it to their circle. I think this is a very effective and powerful selling strategy. A win-win for everyone – of course, this is provided (and assuming) that you like OriFlame’s products and actually use it.

I would also recommend this to people who only want to earn extra income through direc selling. People who have the heart and pure intention of not scamming people – which we all know is the case with most MLMs. I’ve mentioned that OriFlame works with just receiving retail commissions, as long as you sell products. They allow this flexibility to their distributors which is the thing I like the most with them.

OriFlame offers direct selling training and support for free. However, they didn’t specify the exact programs. Probably these are generic marketing 101 and basic hacks to sell products.

This for me is quite disappointing since they say that even people without any marketing experience can join and earn income. But imagine this: how can you continue selling their products if you don’t have innovative ways to persuade and sell pitch to potential customers?

The first action step for you to know if this business opportunity is right for you is to have faith that the products work. If you can’t convince yourself that it works, how can you convince others, right?  

My recommendation is if you’ve tried and tested their products, and you liked them, then maybe you have the potential to consistently earn with OriFlame. You can sell it at a friend’s house party, at the office or at any girl bonding sessions. Plus, it is also a great way to get good discount.

I like the flexibility to just choose to earn income through retail commissions and not required consultant and distributors to recruit a certain number of downline team members. The company – I hope my impression is true – has a conscience to not scam people. 

Lastly, always remember that at this kind of business set up or model, you’re not going to get rich. Yes, you can earn – maybe a lot if you put a lot of hard work into selling – but not super, mega-rich. This is a typical result of people investing in this kind of business opportunity. Most of them fail, rare are those that make good bucks out of it.

Making money online is not easy but possible. As long as you have the right assistance and tools you need, you can find a legit source of income over the internet.
