That’s the promise of Youngevity -- a network marketing or MLM company that sells a variety of products. While it’s known for its health supplements and coffee, the brand also promotes home care, skincare, essential oils, and more.

It was founded by Dr. Joel Wallach, a Naturopathic Physician in 1996. He was known for many things, such as the “mineral doctor” and for his book called “Dead Doctors Don’t Lie.”

Youngevity Product Line

When it comes to products, Youngevity has a wide range of essentials, and it’s more than just the supplements. It’s massive and it looks like a mini Amazon. 

I believe there are more than a thousand products on their website, which are divided into eight categories, namely:

• Health And Nutrition

According to Dr. Wallach, you need more than 90 essential nutrients EVERY DAY to live your best life and perhaps, that’s one main reason why they have produced so much health supplements. 

On their website, you can find different nutritional products that claim to promote heart and eye health, increase energy, support digestion, aid in weight loss, clean and detoxify, and many more.

• Home & Family

In this category, you'll find home care products, such as hand soap, cleaning cloths, sanitizers, laundry soap, kitchen wares, gardening essentials, and more. There are also pet care products, such as grooming kit, chews, flea control, etc.

• Food & Beverage

In this category, you’ll find coffee, sweet treats, spices, shakes, etc. You can also browse these products according to brands, including BebeYou, DrinkACT, BellaVita, etc.

• Spa & Beauty

In this category, you’ll find cosmetics, such as lipsticks, foundation, eyeshadow, and other makeup essentials. It also includes personal care products, like facial cleanser, body moisturizer, breath freshener, and more.

• Fashion

In this category, you’ll find fashion-related products, such as jewelry, nail polishes, bags, and apparel.

• Essential Oils

In this category, you’ll find essentials oils, diffusers, and other tools and accessories.

• Photo

In this category, you’ll find photo albums, cardstocks, and other stationery.

• Services

This is a surprise because other than tangible products, they also provide lending services, cloud services, tech support, and more.

Now, do you believe me when I say that they have a massive range of products? People are going to have a tough time choosing which one to buy but if they want the Youngevity’s flagship product, they can simply find “90 For Life.”

According to their website, it has all the essentials that a human body needs plus, it has around 90% to 98% absorption rate. It sounds convincing but the sad reality about their products is that it has no scientific proof.

Now, that’s a drawback!

With a lot of claims and zero research to back it up, let’s find out how their users find their product. 

I found feedback online and as always, there are two types -- negative and positive. But while some are not satisfied with their products, some users are happy with it.

How To Make Money With Youngevity?

The ways to make money with Youngevity are the same ones found on most MLM platforms. The first is to sell the products so you can earn retail profits.

The second option is to invite more people to join the platform. Now don’t get too excited. If it’s your first time to join an MLM platform, you have to know that you won’t get paid directly for inviting people rather you will receive commissions and bonuses once your downline makes a sale or your team reaches a milestone.

It’s not as easy as how they usually explain and perhaps, that’s one reason why most MLM participants fail to earn a decent income. But like other network marketing companies, there are incentives and bonuses offered to lure people in joining the platform, and I’ve listed an outline below:

To become a member, you have to purchase the Welcome Kit, which costs $25. It has the tools and training you need to start your business. But take note, it has no products yet. Meaning, you can earn commissions unless you purchase their packages, ranging from $115 up to $500.

PROS

Legit MLM Company

If there’s one thing I like about Youngevity, it’s how they proved that they are legit. They are a member of DSA and a publicly-traded company on NASDAQ. Above all, they have been operating for a long time and it’s quite impressive to know that they have maintained a good reputation.

CONS

Focused On Recruitment

While it’s normal for MLM companies to require its distributors to recruit new people, putting heavy emphasis on it can be a problem. For one, the member can’t earn commissions unless they have invited new people to join the platform. 

Second, if the company is too focused on recruitment, some people might think of it as a scam or a pyramid scheme. Yes, they have tangible products to sell, which are expensive, by the way, but the only way to earn bonuses and incentives is if you would put extra effort into inviting people.

This can be a problem in the long run since there are companies that have shut down for the same reason.

Too Many Products To Choose From

As a distributor, promoting the products can be a challenge because you don’t know how you’re going to divide your attention to each essential. I mean, of course, you have to know the specification of each item, how they should be used, their prices, etc. 

Too Expensive

Other than understanding each product, another problem is the expensive rate. There are cheaper alternatives in the market and unless your product is too good or you know how to market it effectively, there’s a chance that you’ll only lose your investment.

Youngevity is ideal for anyone who has personally tried the product and like it. At least, you are confident enough to market the product.

Also, since the investment or capital is big and the opportunity is difficult, it’s better if you have experience with network marketing before. After all, you can only earn from this opportunity if you can sell overpriced products and recruit more people in your team.

Youngevity is legit and impressive for several reasons. It’s a member of DSA and NASDAQ and it has been in the industry for a long time.

However, like other MLM platforms, making money is easy. You have to be aggressive in recruiting people otherwise, you won’t earn commissions and bonuses. You need to have sales and marketing skills otherwise, it would be hard to sell their products.

Also, the fees you need to shoulder to become a member is quite big and it would take time to get it back. Therefore, it’s best to choose another option to make money if you’re a beginner or you just want to avoid MLM programs.
