Most of the multi-level marketing companies I’ve heard of are under the niche of health and wellness. You can’t blame them though because there is a demand for products that promise to improve the overall condition of the body.

One of the companies that are making a buzz online is TruVision Health. Founded in 2013, the brand claimed that they are the “best direct selling company to work for” -- but how true is this claim? Can you make money joining this program? Is TruVision Health a scam or a legit opportunity?

Founded by Shawn Gibson, Travis Martin, and Derek Bailey, TruVision Health is an MLM company that was created in 2013. However, it was first launched to the public in 2014. Their products are designed to promote weight loss and improve the appearance of skin.

The brand is still new to the market but it has already received several positive reviews from its consumers. However, before you sign up and join the program. Be sure to read the following details first.

FDA Violations?

The company has received a warning letter from the FDA stating that the “products have been prepared, packed, or held under conditions that do not meet CGMP requirements for dietary supplements”. I don’t know about you receiving a warning letter from this agency is not a good sign. I mean, are you willing to invest your time and money knowing that the company is involved in such controversy?

TruVision Health Product Line

TruVision has various products, and it’s divided into 4 categories, namely:

Core

It consists of supplements, creams, and healthy drinks made to make the body lose weight, feel more energized, curb appetite, hydrate the body, detox, and burn body fat.

Complementary

These are “add-ons” you can use with their core products to enhance and promote an active and healthy lifestyle.

Skincare

Made with natural ingredients, their skincare set is designed to improve the appearance of the skin.

Essential Oils

Like doTERRA, TruVision Health promotes essential oils that are designed to relax the mind, energize the body, and even contribute to clear, healthy-looking skin.

How To Make Money With TruVision Health?

Since TruVision Health is under the MLM niche, there are two ways to make money with them: 1) sell the products on a retail price and 2) invite people for commissions.

As with TruVision Health, they offer their associates the following to get their money back:

• Retail Difference 

As an associate, you can purchase their products at a discounted price. The difference between your price and the suggested retail price is your profit.

• FastStart Program

This lets the associate get back their investment in the soonest possible time. This is given to the first 4 Upline FastStart Qualified Associates if they have accumulated 100 Personal Volume (PV).

TruVision Health is not a scam. It’s legit, however, like most of you, many people are skeptical about this kind of business -- and I’m guilty about this, too. Before I thought network marketing is nothing but a pyramid scheme in disguise but I found out, there’s a huge difference between the two.

For one, multi-level marketing companies have tangible products to offer. In TruVision Health’s case, they have supplements, skincare essentials, and healthy drinks you can sell to make money. Another thing is that when you invite new people to join the program, you do not earn directly for doing so; rather, you get a commission when your downline or team has helped you achieve a sales quota.

On the other hand, pyramid schemes do not offer real products. They only have a “system” that will help you make money. You just need to invite more people who are willing to shell out cash so you can earn commissions. This is suspicious, to begin with, because how will the company make money in the first place if they are not selling anything? 

These are the obvious differences between the two platforms; however, despite being a legit business model, be careful when planning to join an MLM. Some distributors/associates have unethical practices that are too intimidating, making them sound almost like a scam. So if you want to join MLM programs, you really to know more than the company but the people that work for them, too.

Also, you have to consider these things: Are you willing to sell overpriced products, which are usual for MLM companies? Are you willing to convince the people you know, via phone calls, messages, and personal contact, to join the program?

On my end, I don’t like doing these things. As much as possible, I want to make money online on my own, without bothering other people. Also, I don’t feel comfortable selling overpriced goods knowing that I can easily find similar items over the internet. TruVision is just a new company and for me, it’s still not stable enough so I can’t recommend it.

CONS

Success Rate Is Low

TruVision Health, despite being a legit program, has a low success rate offered to its associate. Like other MLM companies, your chance of earning money is bigger only if you’re one of those who have joined the company for a short time. 

Too Many MLM Programs Under The Same Niche

Compared to other MLM companies that promote health and wellness products, TruVision Health is still new. They’ve only been operating for 5 years so it would be hard for them to have an edge over their competitors. Unless their products have a significant number of positive reviews, your chance of earning a massive amount in this platform is rare.

FTC Issue

Receiving a warning letter from the Food and Drug Administration, for me, is enough to tell me that I should ignore this program.

Result Is Subjective

While there are positive reviews about their products, you can still see negative feedback about it. This is normal for all businesses, no matter how stable the company is. However, the drawback about this company is that there are too many complaints about the negative side effects that happened to them. Everything is shared online so many people can easily learn about this -- and as for you, the associate, selling their products can become more challenging.

For me, when joining an MLM company, one thing that you should consider is the length of the operation. TruVision Health is still new so no one can tell yet if it’ll be stable or not. Their issue with the FDA is a warning sign though. Also, in case the business shuts down without notice, your income will be affected.
