Is Healy World A Scam? MLM That Sells Expensive Wearable Medical Devices In Review

In this post, we’ll discuss a company called Healy World, a network marketing company in the health and wellness industry. What makes it unique is that instead of supplements, it sells integrated gadgets you can use to optimize human health.

Interesting, right? But wait until you read the entire Healy World review!

In this post, we will uncover the truth about the membership fees and compensation plan, pros and cons, and whether Healy World is a scam or not.

Healy World is a multi-level marketing company that’s more into health and wellness but specifically in the medical device niche. This company is apparently based in Berlin, Germany. 

The roots of Healy World started with another medical device company, TimeWaver.

Apparently, they work-hand-in-hand as TimeWaver offers the full-size device that you cannot simply wear while Healy World provides the mobile version of the unit that is small but offers the same type of healing benefits that the bigger unit offers. 

However, there's no MLM opportunity at TimeWaver (outside of Healy).

Marcus Schmieke is the CEO and founder of Healy World. He is the driving force behind the development of the TimeWaver systems and Healy that in 2007, he along with Russian physicist Nikolai Kozyrev and the work of Burkhard Heim developed the first TimeWaver system. 

The Healy World device is bulky and worn on the body. 

Attached to it are 2 ear clamps, wrist bands, or electrodes placed elsewhere on the body and connected to a mobile app. Healy World claims the device can be used as a medical device for the treatment of chronic pain, fibromyalgia, skeletal pain and migraine, and adjuvant therapy of mental illness such as depression, anxiety, and associated sleep disorders.

Healy World offers individual programs that can support in the following ways: fitness, beauty, skincare, bioenergetic balance, sleep, mental balance, learning aid, job performance, meridians, and chakras. 

However, the company itself states that these applications of Healy are not recognized by conventional medicine due to lack of evidence in the sense of conventional medicine.

How does it work? 

After downloading the app, synchronize the Healy World device with your smartphone and start with the frequency program of choice as with those benefits mentioned above.

There is only one Healy device. The difference in retail costs is attributed to “programs” run through a customer’s cell phone. These programs can also be purchased separately:

The Healy wearable retails at €497, € 997, €1,497, and €2497 or around $588 to $2,958.

Healy World appears to be legit and is decent enough to be called a scam. It also comes with physical products and with a compensation plan you can earn from as an affiliate. 

It may not be accredited by the Better Business Bureau but it’s far from a pyramid scheme and I’ll explain more of that below.

Healy World is NOT a pyramid or Ponzi Scheme based on its structure.

It’s like a typical networking company with expensive products and membership fees. It also asks its members to recruit people to earn more commissions. If you’re wondering what makes that different from a Ponzi scheme, here’s a quick explanation.

Apparently, commissions are paid out based on how many points you sell in Healy World. This is both good and bad.

Good because it simply shows how Healy World is eager to sell their products. It doesn’t just rely on recruitment.

Not-so-good because it’s expensive, especially for those who are just starting.

• Healy Holistic Health ($997) - 600 points

There are ways to earn money in Healy World:

• Retail Commissions - Based on how much you spend when you sign up. Commissions go from 5% to 26%. The more you pay, the higher the commissions you get. 
• Residual commissions is the money you earn from your downline sales
• Unilevel Commissions - Members earn from the unilevel pay plan and are paid weekly. Commissions are paid on the sale amount of customer and member product and program sales that Healy offers. Depending on the device level that you are at will depend on how much of a percentage that you can earn from these sales.
• Binary Commissions - Main way that they pay the bulk of the commissions. The binary payout will be 15% of all sales that are made on the weaker leg and paid out weekly. The payout seems to be on a 1:1 ratio, so if there is 100 on one leg and 1000 on the other leg, you will get paid on the 100.
• Matching Bonus Commissions - The Matching Bonus are commissions that you can earn from your team using the unilevel compensation plan structure.
• Mobility Bonus Commissions (Monthly) - a type of residual income that the company pays you when you qualify.
• Special Incentives - Includes events and trips to exotic vacation trips.
• Leadership Bonus Pool Commissions - This is a commission pool that you can earn from along with every other member that qualifies for this bonus. Healy World will set aside 1% of the company-wide sales volume earned and is distributed to the “Top Leaders” of the company quarterly.

The cost to join the Healy World affiliate membership and be able to maximize the earning opportunity that the company offers will be the cost of the device.

Interesting Product 

Honestly, their product the Healy World Device is something new. Hearing it’s desired purpose and possible health benefits is something really fascinating.

Progressing

Healy World is growing, as discussed above, in a year, has made great sales. Their 2018 numbers had doubled in 2019 and it's apparently getting bigger every year. And that’s a good thing, especially if you’re an individual looking for a better networking company with impressive growth.

CONS

Pay-To-Play

Like most MLM's, what they do is make retail commissions based on how much you spent when you first signed up. Well, it’s not that mandatory but since your commissions are based on that, as an affiliate you’ll probably opt to buy more products to earn more. So, it’s more likely a pay-to-play scheme.

Despite being a legit networking company, this can be a drawback not only because it’s expensive, but also because of what the Federal Trade Commission suggests.

According to FTC, it’s a red flag if the brand’s incentive program forces members to purchase more products that they can sell. 

Very Expensive

Their products are very expensive that would even cost you up to @2,500, which is sort of impractical for someone saving up especially during this pandemic. Also, their smartwatch is expensive as compared to smartwatches sold by Apple or Samsung. 

Why would you spend a lot on something that is not evidence-based? Would you really choose this over a known brand, such as Apple?

No Evidence That It Works

This is a major issue. It would be hard defending a product you’re selling if there’s no concrete factual proof offered. Healy World may claim several medical benefits that their product offers but with no scientific proof, it’s gonna be worthless.

Basically as an affiliate, you’ll have access to Healy World’s back office. 

Product training and other resources are as well available on the website. Basic training and troubleshooting are also available online. FAQs are also within reach and as well as access to member support.

In closing, we can conclude that Healy World appears to be a legit company. It’s still new though so it’s too early to assume a lot of things.

But then, it’s a real business with real products. It also comes with compensation you can earn from as an affiliate. 

However, being an MLM, it has the dangers of becoming fraudulent, as it can be a possible Pyramid Scheme. For instance, the compensation plan focuses on those who can buy more products from them.

And speaking of their products, aside from being too expensive, the brand has no proof that it actually works.
