Is Paycation A Scam? Now Called Traverus! Let’s Delve Deeper To This Rebooted Travel MLM!
Welcome to My Paycation Review!
Most people of today’s generation enjoy traveling and often people search for discounts and promo packages and here comes Paycation -- a multi-level marketing platform that primarily focuses on the travel industry.
Paycation Review Summary
Name: Paycation
Website: www.traverusglobal.com
Founders: David Manning
Product Type: Multi-Level Marketing
Price: $199.95 For Referral Travel Consultant Fee Or $399.95 For Certified Travel Consultant Fee + $59.95 For The Website Fee
Quick Summary: Paycation, now called Traverus is a multi-level marketing (MLM) company that focuses primarily on the travel industry. Being in the travel niche, it markets travel services and just like any typical MLM, it tries to give you the ability to manage a successful business right from the comfort of your home.
Well, it is a legitimate company but just like most MLM companies, it places a lot of focus on recruitment rather on sales. Yes, it heavily relies on recruitment! That’s most probably it was even accused of a pyramid scheme during the times of its previous name. And one thing why I won’t recommend you to this business is that the start-up costs are pretty expensive!
Overall Rating: 3/10
Recommended: No
It also provides an opportunity to earn money for those who would want to join their consultancy program. Now we will discuss more of this MLM opportunity in my unbiased Paycation review and answer queries, such as:
Is Paycation a scam or is it a legit MLM company? How to make money from this platform? What are the pros and cons of joining this MLM opportunity?
And by the way, I’m not here to scoff at MLMs but I would just want to bring about awareness and information to the audience of this review. Network marketing per se is a legit business model but not all MLM companies are created equal. Some are lucrative while others are a waste of time.
What Is Paycation About?
Paycation, which is now called Traverus, is a multi-level marketing (MLM) company that allows its consultants to earn potential income by endorsing and recruiting people to use the Traverus Go services which are all mainly for travel. Yes, they do offer travel and vacation packages.
At first, I tried to research the Paycation website, Couldn't find any official site but it would then redirect me to Traverus’ site and later on, I was continuously digging up with the said company name. I found out that it was rebooted and named Traverus and it just got integrated into Manning’s XStream platform through Traverus.
Both company names were established by the founder of the company, in the name of David Manning, who’s also known for recycling MLM business models. Manning is also the owner of Traverus’ subsidiary called XStream which is another company that offers travel-related services and handles all of the training of all associates to help them become travel experts.
About the Founder
David Manning has spent his life promoting and supporting the growth and well-being of people whose lives he has touched. He is an international motivational speaker and was a national sales trainer for two different companies.
Most importantly, Mr. Manning has worked as a Compensation Plan Design Specialist and has saved the best compensation plan for TraVerus Global. In addition to his many business accomplishments, Mr. Manning was the host for the Easter Seals Telethon in Dallas for 17 years, has worked with many top celebrities to help promote their charitable causes and was a world-wide sports promoter setting two attendance records.
Paycation Product Line
Paycation market and sells travel-related services that offer wholesale priced travel packages through their associates who join the consultancy program of the company.
Now, most vacation sites online are run by either of these companies: Expedia and Priceline. With these companies, you’re getting the prices of their vacation packages on retail because they’re already making a profit from the package itself.
However, Paycation does the opposite and offers the entire vacation package at wholesale. They are able to do this because Traverus and Paycation make use of a website called “Booking Ninja” who cut out the mediators such as Expedia and Priceline and offers different choices on wholesale vacation packages and these go for as low as 50% off of retail prices on other travel websites.
How To Make Money With Paycation?
As discussed above, Paycation is now Traverus, so basically, Traverus uses the same compensation plan as Paycation.
Traverus offers a 65% or 75% commission that is paid on travels booked from the travel portal. The company then pays 25% on all referral travel booked by corporate agents and 5% of all the travel commissions earned by personally enrolled consultants (downline).
When members enroll a third person into Traverus, they will earn $20 or more as a coded bonus, and when that third person enrolls his or her first two people, they’ll get a $20 on both of them. And then it goes on and on.
On their referrals, they’re only paid out if they enroll with the Certified Travel Consultant (CTC) package.
Now, these are 6 ways for them to enroll off their recruits, and these are:
Residuals on Coded - This allows you to earn 8% for each person coded to the affiliate who pays their monthly subscription of $59.95 (the website fee).
100% Match on Personals Coded Residual - Affiliates earn 100% match on all the residual coded bonuses to affiliates personally enrolled CTC’s earn.
Business Builder Bonus - Affiliates can earn over and above 5% starting with their 7th person on top of what they’re already earning from recruits. This goes on indefinitely.
3×7 Matrix - Pays out 3 levels wide and 7 levels deep every month.
10% Match on Personals Matrix - Affiliates earn a 10% match on Matrix Commissions earned by their enrolled consultants.
8% Match on Coded Matrix - Affiliates earn 8% matrix match on all earnings from those who are coded with them.

Is Paycation A Scam?
Paycation is not a scam. It’s already been running for years. It appears to be a legitimate MLM business opportunity, but it places much focus on recruitments which is becoming of a Pyramid scheme and I could say, it’s one of the reasons I would not recommend you in joining the program.
It’s probably only a matter of time before the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) would probably flag it as a pyramid scheme. It is not as well Better Bureau Business (BBB) accredited.

Here Is My Top Recommendation to Start Highly Profitable Online Business from Comfort Of Your Home
Pros/Cons
PROS
The Pay is High
Yes, the pay is better than other programs! They have an outstanding commission rate of 65% and 75% for any travel packages booked by their consultants so that would mean that if someone books a travel package worth $8000 from their portal, they would earn a commission of $5,200 or $6000. That’s pretty big right?!
CONS
Costly
Yes, it’s pricey to join in this MLM opportunity. They have expensive consultancy program fees for start-up plus you’ll also have to pay the additional website fees monthly.
Recruitment! Recruitment!
Yes just like any other MLM opportunity, Traverus is one of those companies that are also encouraging a focus on recruitment. Yes, this company solely depends on recruitment rather than sales.
So for people with no skills in networking or to those who are not consummate in the MLM world, it would be a challenge.
Makings Of A Pyramid Scheme
With the sole focus on recruitment, Traverus is even coined of a Pyramid Scheme. As in the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), GoFounders have some red flags of a pyramiding scheme. Without any products to be sold and that you only earn by recruiting people to the program makes it like a pyramiding scheme.
It’s probably only a matter of time before the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) would probably flag it as a pyramid scheme. So don’t wait for it to shut down. Better not be involved in such platforms!
Tired of Wasting Time on Low Quality Programs?
I'm so grateful that I was able to find THIS PROGRAM which helped me to finally start making money online!
Who Is It For?
It is a business opportunity intended for those who have skills in sales and are consummate in the MLM world since it relies solely on recruitment.
Being in the travel niche, it is also for those who love traveling.
Training Tools/Support
Being an affiliate in this company and paying the fee for the Referral Travel Consultant or the Certified Travel Consultant gives you access to the back office, training tools and resources, commissions and other materials that would help you along as you go through your Traverus business. The detailed inclusions for each consultancy program are discussed above.
Final Opinion/Verdict
In conclusion, Traverus is the rebooted version of Paycation and it is an MLM company that is legitimate. It is not a scam. Yes, it somehow gives a decent compensation plan that you could probably gain money from but since the company is solely focused on recruitment, it would be hard to earn if you are not consummate in networking.
And because of its emphasis on recruitment, it’s even coined as a pyramid scheme, so chances are it can be flagged by the FTC as one in the near few. For me, I recommend you not to take this business opportunity, it is hard to risk when it’s not even Better Bureau Business (BBB).
It’s even more expensive to join in their consultancy program plus the additional website fees you have to pay for monthly. So it might be good that you skip this platform and check on my other recommended programs.
And by the way, congratulations on working on some investigation before trying an income opportunity! I commend you for that as well as for reading my honest Paycation review.
