Is PointsPrizes A Scam? Legit GPT Opportunity Or Another Time-Wasting Scam?
Welcome to My PointsPrizes Review!
Before anything else, let me just clarify what GPT is all about.
It’s an acronym that stands for Get-Paid-To and as the name implies, it’s meant to compensate you for doing minor tasks.
On this website alone, we’ve reviewed about a dozen of GPT sites, including OfferNation, Send Earnings, and Keep Rewarding.
While most of these are legit, there are common concerns, such as not earning real cash. More or less, what you’re going to get here are gift cards or rewards you can exchange for an item and not real money.
It’s barely enough as a side hustle so if I were you, set your expectations.
PointsPrizes Review Summary
Name: PointsPrizes
Website: www.pointsprizes.com
Founders: Mark Kempton, Rob McLean, and Christopher Barnard
Product Type: GPT
Price: Free
Quick Summary: PointsPrizes is a “Get-Paid-To'' (GPT) platform that pays you for accomplishing short tasks, such as doing surveys, watching videos, playing games, and so on. This GPT is available in a mobile app where users can download and start accomplishing tasks. Users can also earn by inviting people to join PointsPrizes.
They also have a variety of Digital Gift Cards to choose from when you want to redeem your PointsPrizes points.
The problem is that GPT apparently has issues with email privacy.
Overall Rating: 3/10

In this post, we will review an opportunity that pays you for answering polls, watching videos, playing games, and more called PointPrizes.
The question is -- will it help you make a decent income?
How does it really work?
More importantly, is PointPrizes legit or just another scam?
What Is PointsPrizes About?
PointsPrizes is a GPT platform that comes in handy with a mobile app. It is available for Android and iOs users.
Just like most GPT platforms, this opportunity will pay you for accomplishing an online task, which may include answering a poll, watching videos, and more.
Just like most GPTs, you will earn through a point system where you gain points every time you accomplish a task.
Accumulated points can be converted to cash or gift cards.
Checking on the WhoIs domain tool, PointsPrizes’ website was created in 2016.
It also opened a shop on July 3, 2017 courtesy of founder and internet entrepreneur Mark Kempton and it is currently based in 8 Rue Des Remparts, Le Boulou 66160, France.
Other than Kempton, Rob McLean and Christopher Barnard also co-founded the brand.
PointsPrizes Product Line
There are no physical products marketed as PointPrizes; what they offer instead is the opportunity to make money by responding to polls or surveys, watching videos, playing games, and more.
PointsPrizes is a platform that companies utilize to gain insights from consumers or a way for them to market their product.
That being said, there are basically two clienteles -- the companies and the members who complete the tasks for them
Is PointsPrizes A Scam?
It appears to be a legitimate GPT site; however, for some people, having no record with the Better Business Bureau (BBB) is a drawback. Nonetheless, it doesn’t suggest that it’s a scam.
The good news is that it offers a real way to make money and while it’s not a lot, at least you don’t end up wasting your time only to obtain gift cards.
However, it’s still best to take it only as a side hustle and not a regular source of cash.
Is PointsPrizes A Pyramid Scheme/Ponzi Scheme?
PointsPrizes seems to be a legit GPT app and platform. It is not a Pyramid nor a Ponzi Scheme.
It’s one of those GPT websites that compensates you with rewards through gift cards or cash as you accomplish tasks they offer. It does have a referral program but it’s just part of the many ways to earn rewards in the app.
That being said, it’s far from being a Ponzi and pyramid scheme.

PointsPrizes Compensation Plan
As mentioned, PointsPrizes has a point system that allows you to earn points as you accomplish tasks.
Points can be then converted to cash or you can redeem your points through PayPal or Bitcoins.
You can also convert it to gift cards from Amazon, iTunes, Google Play gifts, Netflix, and more.
PointsPrizes states that they send out the $20 payout monthly; however, most members suggest that they receive it earlier.
These are some of the many ways to earn with PointsPrizes:
Paid Surveys - The platform gives you access to several survey routers where you can take surveys from third-party providers. They have quite a lot of partners, so basically, you can find more survey opportunities here compared to other survey sites.
Paid Offers - PointsPrizes has this wall where you can find paid offers. They have a variety of tasks provided, such as when signing up for contests, getting free trials for products/services, downloading apps, and more.
PointsPrizes Coupon Codes - In the coupon section of PointsPrizes, you will also see that you can unlock coupons and get some free points.
Watch Videos - You can also earn by watching videos on PointsPrizes. There are quite a lot of video options in almost any category you can think of but it seems that videos are only available on the PointsPrizes mobile app.
Referrals – You’ll get a 10% commission of what your referrals earn on the site for life. PointsPrize will give you your referral code immediately after signing up.
Playing Games - If you like playing small online games, you can earn a bit by using the games section on PointsPrizes. It can be seen in the offer wall section as one of the offer wall options (even though it is not as such an offer wall).
Daily Poll - There is a short poll you can do on PointsPrizes daily and you can earn 5 points and it will not take you long to do. So the daily poll may be a way to make extra money.
Giveaways and Chat - PointsPrizes have a chat server with around 150,000 users where you can chat with other members. You won’t earn from this but it lets you engage with the other members.
To redeem points, you'll need about 3,000 points to get the $20 payout threshold. So, apparently, $1 is equivalent to 150 points.
Considering this, it takes time to earn substantially.

How Much To Join PointsPrizes?
Joining PointsPrizes is free and you can join PointsPrizes from anywhere in the world.
You just have to download the app that is apparently available for both iOS and Android devices.
Just like most reward apps, registration is simple; all you have to do is provide your email.
You don't need a password for your account here but while it sounds alarming, they had it explained in their FAQ section.
Pros/Cons
PROS
Various Payout Options
I like that PointsPrizes offers a lot of payout options and that they also provide a variety of ways to earn rewards. With this, users can have a lot of options to choose from and that’s something good!
No Need To Pay For Membership
It’s good that PointsPrizes is free to download and is available globally. It’s also handy and easy as it comes in a mobile app.
Well, it’s nice to have a free earning opportunity and gain something for spare time.
CONS
Security Issues
As mentioned, setting up the account doesn’t require creating a password. They may have rationalized the idea for this but for me, it still hampers your privacy.
There's a reason why passwords exist and that’s to protect your account. Remember, your payout details may have been linked with that. So, if anyone does something with your email address, things can be out of hand.
High Payout Threshold
$20 may not be that big but the corresponding point for this is at 1500 and that amount of points would really take you quite a time and a lot of effort.
You’ll even roughly earn substantial points per task.
Points Run Out
Users are complaining that once you reach around 1000+ points, the tap runs dry even if you take up the challenges.
To be fair, they've explained why that happens here, but the general opinion is that you may never reach the payout amount.
What's worse is that the advertisers and the website still profit from all of your efforts.
As mentioned, with regards to the bonus points it only limits you up to earn 750 points.
Limited Income
Accomplishing tasks in PointsPrizes would only pay you with some amount of money as the payout threshold is even so high.
Yes, you could opt-in recruiting others to join but that would also even take a lot and would only give you a little.
Tired of Wasting Time on Low Quality Programs?
I'm so grateful that I was able to find THIS PROGRAM which helped me to finally start making money online!
Training Tools/Support
Training and support are well provided by PointsPrizes. Their website is packed with video tutorials and FAQs to help you know more about their opportunity and the app.
If you need support, there are plenty of ways to get in contact with their support staff.
You can send an email, ask through live chat on the website, or send a direct message on Facebook or Twitter.
Final Opinion/Verdict
PointsPrizes seems to be a legit site to make some extra money and it appears to be a real company registered with an address in France. Well, it’s not a scam but a payout threshold of $20 that is worth 1500 points but it’s not worth it.
Yes, you can make money in your spare time by doing what you already do online like watching videos, playing games, and more but what they offer is not worth your precious time.
There are definitely way better-paying GPT sites and it's always good to look at other options.
So my verdict for this earning opportunity is a no.
What's Next?
Most of the time GPT sites can only give you some income, and I guess you’re already fed up with all these SOME income opportunities right?
Well, don’t worry, I believe I have the best option if you’re looking for a stable full source of income.
