Is United Success Network A Scam? Legit Way To Raise Money For Your Cause Or Not?

When it comes to making money online, there are various options to choose from; some can cater to beginners while others need expertise and experience to make it work. While the requirements are important, another thing you have to consider is legitimacy.

Since everything will be done online -- the work, the pay, etc. -- it’s just wise to know if the company is a scam or a legit program to sign up with.

In this post, we will talk about a social media platform with a crowdfunding feature. United Success Network (USN), a brand founded in 2008, claims to help you make money but you have to pay a massive amount first.

Is United Success Network legit or another pyramid scheme in disguise? How does it work? What makes it different from other similar programs?

“Raising money has never been this easier” -- or so United Success Network says.

Founded by Charles Isaiah Morgan, this social media platform works like Facebook where you can share status and other updates. The website was built in 2016, which is roughly new but based on its logo, it was founded around 2008.

It also has a GoFundMe-like feature where you can raise funds in case you need money for your tuition, a certain cause, non-profit organizations, veterans, medical emergencies, and many more.

Just like what they said on their website -- “Worldwide community unity is our goal.”

Unlike the usual social media platforms where you can share photos of your vacation, parties, and drinks, or anything else personal, the main goal of United Success Network is to promote their “member-to-member cash donation system.”

How does it work?

It’s a bit complicated but I’ll try to explain it in the simplest way possible.

United Success Network uses The Flip 50 Strategy, which contains 4 steps: Give, Share, Empower, and Receive. I’ll discuss more of this in the compensation plan section. 

United Success Network Product Line

As mentioned, there are no other sources of income; no products or services to sell. It’s a social media platform, like Facebook and Instagram where you can sign up to create an account, network with members, donate, and “earn.”

It works almost the same as FutureNet Club and Webtalk that are both social media platforms with an opportunity to make money at home.

I won’t directly say that United Success Network is a scam but it has red flags you can’t just ignore. 

First, it doesn’t work as a legit multi-level marketing network but more like a cash gifting scheme or a pyramid, which are both illegal, by the way. You will pay $400 ($50 each to eight members), recruit, encourage your recruits to do the same, and receive money from them.

In simple terms, you invest money into the program, invite people and ask them to invest, and earn from their investments. 

Second, there are little to no details about the owner of the company. Yes, there are Zoom meetings for aspiring members, and Charles being the face of the brand but if you research him and the brand online, there’s nothing else to be found.

First, let’s answer this question -- what is a Ponzi scheme?

Ponzi schemes as well as pyramid schemes are both frauds and the income comes from the invested money of their investors. There’s no legit source of cash here other than what the members have “invested.”

The business model is not only illegal, but it’s also unstable because once the investment or recruitment stops, so does the profit. It

Going back to United Success Network, there are no products and services for retail commissions, and the only thing that makes it look like a networking company is the recruitment required. However, unlike legit MLMs, you are compensated directly when you recruit a person or in USN’s case when you complete the first three steps and not from your downlines’ sales.

The first step is called “Give.” As the name suggests, new members are asked to donate $50 voluntarily to all members of USN, from associates up to the chief directors.

The second step is to “Share.” In this step, members are encouraged to invite people, such as families and friends, to join their team and ask for a donation worth $50.

The third step is to “Empower.” This is basically encouraging your team to do the same -- to recruit and ask for a $50 donation.

The fourth and last step is to “Receive.” Once you’ve completed the steps, you will increase your rank from Associate to Chief Director and your Level to Level 1. You will also receive a total of $400 from your team members.

As you go along, your level will increase to Level 2, Level 3, and so on and for every increase in level, you will also increase your earnings from $400 to $2,000.

I know it’s too early to assume but the way it works is questionable. For me, when you say donation, it’s handing out an amount that you’re comfortable with instead of being asked for a specific amount. $50 is already big; what more if you have to give this to more than 8 people. 

Also, it has no other source of income other than recruitment so instead of a legit business model, it sounds more like a Ponzi scheme.

Joining United Success Network is easy just like signing up with Facebook, Twitter, and other social media platforms. However, you have to “donate” $50 voluntarily so you have the chance to earn, too.

I used the term “chance” because there’s no guarantee. First, you have to recruit people so you can advance your rank and encourage them to do the same, too so you can get your first $400. The thing is, some people can easily spot that this is an illegal scheme, making it challenging for you to invite others and grow your team.

PROS

To be honest, I don’t like anything about United Success Network. It may try to look like an ethical site that promotes unity but for me, it’s quite suspicious and I’ll share why below.

CONS

More Like A Ponzi Scheme

There are no legit products or services to sell and make money from. The only way to get your investment back is to recruit people and encourage them to do the same. So basically, your earnings come from the investment of other people.

Pyramid and Ponzi schemes are both illegal, by the way, and considering how United Success Network works, I won’t think twice about skipping this program.

Lacks Transparency

Charles Isaiah Morgan might be the face of the brand as his name was being used as the founder and CEO; however, you won’t really find a lot of resources that would support it. No social media accounts or legit news sources to back it up. 

I’ve seen scams use “actors” to take the role of the CEO or an executive just to hide the real identities of the people behind the brand and while I don’t conclude the United Success Network is doing this, isn’t it suspicious knowing that USN is sharing little to nothing about this.

United Success Network offers Zoom meetings to its aspiring and current members to help them learn more about how it works. 

Overall, I don’t like United Success Network. It makes its business sound like a legit one, encouraging people to join and “donate.” It looks like a good, ethical site that helps people but when you dig deeper, you’ll realize that it’s not as good as it looks.

It works more like a cash gifting or a pyramid scheme that are both illegal. Imagine, you are free to join but if you want to make money or receive donations from other members, you have to give them $50 first and there are about 8 members in your team. To advance or receive your $400, you have to recruit and encourage people to do the same.

Now, recruitment is already a problem; what more if you will expect them to participate in this kind of scheme. Nowadays, more and more people are becoming wise when it comes to investing their money and time so it would be challenging for you to persuade family and friends to join this kind of platform.

Also, since the way United Success Network works is kind of skeptical, there’s a chance for it to shut down because of the red flags and once it happens, you might end up not getting paid or worse, your name getting involved with a scam.
