However, it’s not the typical survey platform that pays you directly when you provide your opinion rather, it’s a survey aggregator -- a website where the owner is an affiliate of many other real survey companies. 

The affiliate turns a website into a survey hub where they can promote surveys for people to join into so they, in return, can earn a commission. It works more like a digital market and a referral system.

The business model is legit but with Opinion City, one of the many red flags it has is that the name of the founder or company was not disclosed. But upon further investigation, it appears that it is owned by a US-based company called A&A Marketing. 

But with no definite whereabouts about the company, we don’t know. So, it’ll be hard to trust since you don’t know as well who to contact and blame when things go wrong. 

Opinion City appears to utilize an affiliate marketing platform to make money. Well, it’s a totally legitimate online business model. However, at this point, you would probably notice that Opinion City wants you to join as many sites as possible by using their affiliate links. 

Why? Because they will make money every time you use those links. Opinion City is simply a funnel for other survey sites and does not actually offer you anything in return for signing up. 

So be vigilant, you need to be aware when they make you already join so many survey sites, for even your privacy may be as well troubled by the links you’ve clicked. Don’t be fooled!

As you can see in their landing page, comes a picture of a woman named Alyssa. But it appears that if you search the image in Google Images, the photo will appear in a couple of matching sites.

Something fishy is definitely going on. 

How To Make Money With Opinion City? 

First, you have to sign up with the usual details needed, most importantly your email address. 

Joining is free as they have claimed. 

After signing up for this funnel website, you will receive links from research marketing websites to see if you qualify for a survey or not. If you qualify, then you can earn from the survey.

However, one of the important points that you have to consider and be careful of is that when you sign up you are agreeing to share your email address with their partner companies. 

So, it is best to provide a dedicated email address because you will get spammed a lot. It is also a good way to keep your personal and business emails separate. 

Take note: When you sign up, you will not receive from Opinion City only but also from their affiliated third parties.

The amount you will get by answering surveys depends on the company you’ve signed up with. Opinion City may have promised you $500 a week, which is misleading. We’ve reviewed more than a dozen survey platforms and even if you spent the whole day answering surveys, it’s hard to earn one hundred dollars a week, let alone $50.

Also, you have to consider your qualifications; every company or survey requires a specific demographic and if it doesn’t match yours, you will not be able to answer a questionnaire and as a result, you will NOT earn anything.

We can’t directly tell that Opinion City is a scam; however, we’re certain that it’s misleading. It says that you will earn $500 a week and who doesn’t want that? But when you find out how it really works, we doubt that you can earn even a single dollar.

Well, it’s a good thing that it’s free, there’s no money to lose, right? But I’ve seen reviews, saying that they were scammed by Opinion City and they weren’t able to get their payout. 

We know it’s free but even an ounce of effort is also given in these surveys and they ought to be remunerated. 

So where do the earnings go? Probably to whosoever is operating Opinion City.

Opinion City founder was not disclosed, other than the data that it was owned by A&A marketing. Also, they use fake pictures and names as with the case of Alyssa that is displayed on their landing page, whose picture also appears on other websites. Something is definitely deceptive. 

Transparency, especially with regards to companies' founders and whereabouts and legitimacy, is necessary for a business. Without such foundations, a business will not stand strong and long. And also, without someone in charge, it will be hard to find someone to blame when things go wrong.

Email Privacy Troubled

Since you agreed to share your email, you will be most probably bombarded by a couple of emails from the affiliate companies. Since you allowed, your email will be shared with the purpose of sending you third-party emails but you will not know how many and who it will be shared. So it’ll probably hamper your privacy. 

That’s why if you signed up, better have a dedicated email just for this, so that important emails may not be overridden because you will as well probably get spammed most of the time. 

Earnings Not Directly From Opinion City

Since payouts are not directly from Opinion City, it will be such a hassle since you will be confused and overwhelmed by the surveys and you won’t earn much as every site pays individually. Things may get complicated because there isn’t as well a stabilized and fixed compensation plan.

However, when it comes to Opinion City, there are a lot of red flags. One is that the founder was not disclosed. We may not totally say that it’s a scam but something is definitely suspicious with Opinion City. 

There are reviews saying that they don’t receive the payout they are supposed to get from answering surveys. 

Things may get complicated especially on how they are going to be remunerated because there is no fixed rate per survey. And let’s not forget that this company has previous records of marketing scam websites. That alone should be enough to tell you to stay away from this program.

The idea of having an income opportunity with no monetary capital is something good. 

However, you might not earn that big and your efforts answering surveys might even go in vain. Even the company’s claims are overly exaggerated. Thus, definitely not recommending you this one.  

Despite the many opportunities online, it’s hard to find a legit program that will help you make money. Another issue is that even if it’s legit, there’s no guarantee that it will provide good compensation.
