Also, surveys are not new. In fact, here at Best Lifetime Income, we’ve reviewed more than a dozen similar opportunities, such as Point Club Surveys, Opinion City, and PrizeRebel.

While it’s a legit business model, such opportunities would probably take you a lot of surveys to accomplish before gaining a booming income. It can give you some cash but probably not enough to help you sustain a living. 

But the question is: will “Opinion Outpost” be any different? 

Let’s find out in this honest Opinion Outpost review!

Opinion Outpost is a legit online paid survey platform that was created in 2004. It pays people for sharing their opinions and by answering surveys. 

It’s owned and under Dynata (Dynata, LLC f/k/a Survey Sampling International, LLC), which was formerly known as Research Sampling, LLC. Dynata is a Better Bureau Business accredited market research firm with an A+ rating and has been operating for 17 years in the business.

Basically, a market research firm functions as a means to gather and analyze data about customers, competitors, distributors, and other players in the marketplace, and this is done through various survey platforms like OneOpinion, E-Rewards and Valued Opinions, which also operate under Dynata. 

How Opinion Outpost Works?

Just like most paid survey platforms, joining Opinion Outpost is free. You just need to go to the site and fill in some information and sign-up. 

It’s available on your desktop, mobile, and tablet. 

Once signed up, you’ll be given access to the members’ area and surveys should be available within minutes. 

Right then and there, you could make your first survey and it’s a survey that primarily seeks personal information in order to determine which demographic you’ll be suited, such as race and ethnicity, quality of life, and income because these pieces of information will be connected to the future surveys you qualify for. 

Once completed, you’ll be rewarded 5 points.

You can also sign up using your Facebook or Google account.

It’s simple and even newbies can take part in this program. You will be paid as you take part in their surveys. With the surveys you have answered, they’ll credit you with a given amount of points that you can redeem as rewards later on. 

The idea is to get your opinion for certain products, brands, or services so participating companies can use these to improve their business.

While it sounds easy, the truth is that it takes a heap of work before you are able to receive a bigger compensation and you only get paid for the time and effort you put in. In short, no survey, no compensation.

How To Make Money WIth Opinion Outpost?

As mentioned, you'll have to answer surveys to get paid. If it’s your first time to join such platforms, it’s worth knowing that you won’t get surveys all the time. Remember, you have to share details about yourself so brands can determine whether your demographics fit their questionnaire or not.

If yes, then take their surveys; if not, then you’ll have to wait for available questionnaires for you.

In Opinion Outpost, 1 point equals $0.10 USD and for every questionnaire completed, you will receive 5 points. So for your first survey, you could probably get about $0.50.

Usually, a typical Opinion Outpost survey takes about 10 - 15 minutes to accomplish or worse, it can even take between 15 - 40 minutes for the pre-qualifying questions. The amount of points you can expect to receive per survey ranges between 5 to 50 points.

Unfortunately, these points can’t be encashed yet.

Opinion Outpost surveys will be sent to your email regularly and keep in mind that you won’t be consistently answering surveys. Yes, they do send out only a couple of surveys a week but you’ll probably even get qualified for most of it, leaving you with fewer surveys to do. 

On the bright side, Opinion Outpost gives you a chance to win $10,000 if you take part in a survey, use your points to enter, or even if you get disqualified from a survey. 

However, it’s only done every quarter. So if you’re lucky and win all 4 awards, you could win $40,000 a year. It sounds great, right? Yes -- that is if you’re lucky enough.

They also have this “Refer A Friend, Make $5” incentive. 

For each of the first 5 referred friends that signed-up and completed a survey in Opinion Outpost using your +personalized link, you will be rewarded 10 points each. That means $5 for every person, meaning you’ll gain $25. 

How To Redeem Your Opinion Outpost Rewards?

Once you’ve earned enough points, you can now redeem your rewards, which you could encash through PayPal (once you’ve gathered 100 points).

You also have the option for other rewards, such as for MileagePlus, Alawar, Amazon, App Store and iTunes Gift Card, and American Red Cross.

Opinion Outpost is not a scam. It is a legitimate online paid survey platform that lets you earn a small amount. 

It started way back in 2004, which simply shows that it has been operating for more than a decade. 

Compared to its previous unattractive domain, Opinion Outpost now comes in a presentable and techy-feel website. However, there are still a couple of reasons why I am not recommending you this especially for those who are opting for a source of full-time income.

Joining Opinion Outpost just like most Get-Paid-To (GPT) or survey sites are totally free. All you need to do is sign up using your email address. You can also join by using your Facebook or Google account.

It’s Free And Easy To Sign Up

One thing I like about this opportunity is that it is FREE! But, so do most survey websites. 

Joining Opinion Outpost is simple and easy and it provides an opportunity to get a small amount during your free time.

Chance To Earn Cash And Incentives

Other than the chance to have $10,000 quarterly, I like the thought that Opinion Outpost also offers an opportunity to give you additional income as you refer people to also join and do surveys.

CONS

Low Income Potential

While it does offer an income opportunity, it isn’t as profitable. Yes, Opinion Outpost could give an extra income but it’s not substantial. Don’t expect to earn anything lucrative unless you are willing to commit a huge amount of time and effort because it would probably take you a lot of time and surveys to finish to achieve that income you are aspiring for. 

So, it’s just really pocket money and really not adequate for a full-time source of income. 

Surveys Take Longer

Surveys at Opinion Outpost take longer than promised. What they claim about how long completing a survey takes is completely inaccurate. 

A typical Opinion Outpost survey takes about 10 - 15 minutes to accomplish or worse, it can even take up to 40 minutes just for the pre-qualifying questions.

Not Enough Surveys

Not only that you may be disqualified and you would not always qualify to complete a survey is already discouraging. Plus the fact that there are not enough surveys which I believe is a common problem of such platforms. Most Opinion Outpost members are limited with surveys that one could participate in. So with such little surveys available, there would also be little income. 

It is an income opportunity for those who have a lot of spare time and would want to earn some money answering surveys. It’s for people who are fond of answering surveys and bringing up their opinions. 

It can give some income but for a source of full-time income, this is not the right opportunity. You’ll also have to qualify for the surveys. You have to be at least 18 years old and are residing in the US (because as mentioned, this is only available in the US).

Customer support is available for all Opinion Outpost members. They are available to help and give more information. FAQs are as well available about their free surveys, membership, or rewards.

In closing, Opinion Outpost is a legitimate opportunity that could make you earn money. As an online paid survey platform, it’s far from being a scam but it is no different from other survey sites. 

I won’t recommend this to anyone looking for a regular source of cash because the income potential is extremely low. It will definitely take you a lot of hard work, effort, and time to earn a huge amount of cash.

However, if you’re only looking for a way to kill time and hopefully, earn a small amount, then you can try this one. The good news is that it’s legit and backed up by a well-known market research brand.
