What if you can make money just by watching the television? Would you do it without hesitation or would you be skeptical? I know it sounds too good to be true but apparently, there’s an app called Viggle -- and it will pay you for doing the dream job of many people.

But does it really work? Is Viggle a scam or a legit app you can trust? How much money can you make from using it?

The first time I visited their website, I was impressed. It was properly designed and all the necessary details are provided. However, I was skeptical about their concept: you watch and get paid. I mean, that’s too easy. Where’s the thrill in that? Almost all the legit money-making opportunities I know will require you to use your mind or muscle -- or even both.

And that’s why I created this review. I binge-watch Netflix almost every day and sometimes I wish that I can make money out of it, so when I heard about this site, I checked it and this is what I found out.

Viggle is a mobile application that’s available for both iOS and Android users. It was founded by Robert Xavier Sillerman in 2010 to persuade individuals to become more involved in watching televisions and live events and listening to music.

How Does Viggle App Works?

After downloading Viggle App on your phone, press the icon to check-in. Once it’s done, the app will listen to the program you are watching or the music you're listening to. This will help you earn points you can use to get a reward.

You don’t really need to do much when using this app. You can either choose from the movies or series they have on the home page or you can tap the V button on the upper right corner of your phone, choose between “Live TV” or “Streaming”, and type the title of the show you want to watch. 

Once you found the movie, simply click “Start earning Perk Points” to earn points you can exchange for cash or a gift card.

How To Make Money With Viggle?

As mentioned above, all you need to do is check-in through Viggle, find the program you want to watch or music you want to listen to, and earn points using Perk Points -- a rewards platform.

Other than watching, the other ways to earn Viggle Points is by watching the featured shows. This will let you earn x4, x6, or x10 points. You can also entertain yourself by engaging in Quests, Streaks, or Trivias. 

How Much Money Can I Make With Viggle?

For every one minute of watching, listening, or “Viggling”, you’ll earn one Viggle Point and in every month, you are allowed to obtain up to 60,000 points. The instruction is too easy that it’s tempting to leave the phone while the app is running and do other things. However, Viggle ensures that you are still interacting with the app by including prompts or ads while watching.

Again, the number of points you can get depends on what you are doing. For instance, you’re watching a featured show, therefore you can get x4, x6, or x10 points. Every 1,000 Perk Points is equal to $1; every 20 Viggle Points equal to 1 Perk Point.

How Will Viggle Pay You?

Before getting paid, you have to convert your Viggle Points to Perk Points so you can exchange it for merchandise, cash, or gift cards.

If you want money (and I bet we all do), you can receive your payment in two ways:

• PayPal
• Perkplastic Debit Card 

UPDATE: According to the website, they have stopped the Perk Plastic rewards program and the last day you can use your card was last July 23, 2019. In case you have remaining funds on your account, it will be sent via check to the mailing address you have provided. You can also contact their customer support for clarification.

Viggle App is not a scam. Its legitimacy is not a question since it’s a popular mobile application used by individuals who want to make money just by watching movies and/or listening to music. I think the question should be: does Viggle App works?

According to some reviews, it does. Users are paid for doing minor tasks, such as watching and participating in ads and prompts. However, since Perk acquired Viggle, the system has changed and some Vigglers lose points. 

Considering this, I don’t think it’s still worth your time. If you want to make money online and be your own boss, I suggest these alternatives:

• Start a blog site and monetize it using ads
• Sell your items online
• Earn profits by pursuing your passion through affiliate marketing

With Viggle App, you have not locked to one reward options alone. Unlike other apps that limit you to gift cards, you can convert your points to cash or merchandise.

CONS

Too Many Complaints

When you visit the Google Play Store or Apple App Store, you can see that their star rating is high. On Google, for instance, it’s 4.2 out of 5, which is a good indicator. But according to some complaints, the acquisition of Viggle made the system worse.

Limited To U.S. Residents

If you’re living outside the U.S., you cannot use Viggle App; you may not even see it on your App Store. In case you do, I doubt that it will function properly. Also, if you’re living in the United States, you should be at least 13 years old and above to use the app.

Waste Of Time

Even if Viggle pays, the money you’ll get is barely enough. You cannot use it as your main source of cash or even as a side hustle because honestly, with the point conversion, it’s a waste of time.

Viggle App is not a bad app at all so I still recommend it for anyone who enjoys watching or listening to music. If it’s your free time and you want to entertain yourself, you can check-in using the platform and watch as usual. It may not help you earn a lot but at least you're getting points you can use to get cash, gift cards, or merchandise.

Viggle App is legit but the fact that it pays you for watching or listening is just too good to be true. While it does give you points you can convert to various rewards, the amount you will get is very small. For me, it’s only good when you want to earn cents during free time but if you want to make more cash online, I suggest that you read the next section.

What if I tell you that you can make money without spending your time on nothing? Yes, it's possible. The online world is full of opportunities and it has more than paid surveys or mobile apps.
