Is Team National A Scam? [2021 Review] Earn Or Lose Money From This Discount Program?

Nowadays, multi-level marketing (MLM) companies are not limited to selling beauty products and help supplements; some brands promote travel incentives, insurance, and also “savings,” such as the network marketing business that we’re going to talk about today.

Team National -- an MLM company that promotes discount programs and an opportunity to make money with them. But is this the right program for you? Can you really earn cash when you join this platform? Is this network marketing business even legit?

Let’s find out in this unbiased Team National review.

Don’t worry, I’m not an affiliate of this platform so rest assured that I’ll give you the good and the bad about this program.

Team National follows a multi-level marketing structure and it promotes itself as a membership savings brand. This means that people who join their company can save cash through discounts.

It was founded by a race car driver named Richard (Dick) Loehr in 1996 and was inherited by Angela Loehr-Chrysler, his daughter.

After leaving the racing industry in 1971, Richard founded his own car dealership, selling over 140,000 cars. He also owned and managed 9 restaurants in South Florida where he employed more than a hundred people. In 1996, that’s when he started his savings program, which is now known as Team National.

As for Angela, she was involved in medical sales and direct selling so pretty much, she has the necessary skills and expertise in handling a business.

Team National Product Line

As mentioned above, they market membership savings and for most people (like me), it’s kind of confusing. Surprisingly, there’s a huge demand for this kind of service, making it profitable for those who know how to market it.

The problem is, you won’t find much on their website. Even if there’s a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) section, you’ll be asked to provide your ID number first before you can access it. 

Lucky you, I was able to research the basic details about their membership, such as:

Members can save up to 65% for purchasing furniture, flooring, saunas, and spas.

Team National has teamed up with the largest manufacturers, wholesalers, and distributors, to provide exclusive discounts for their members. Some of the industries include the following:

• Team National Product Line, which is their own line of skincare, automotive, health supplements, etc.

Team National Business Exchange

Team National provides members exclusive discounts to more than a hundred small businesses in the USA. This includes various industries, such as insurance, automotive, real estate, home maintenance, travel, construction, and more.

Team National E-Commerce

Team National lets its members save almost 50% for purchasing their own private labeled products that include automotive care, nutrition, etc.

This also allows members to earn at least 30% commissions.

Team National Product Review

I did not sign up as a member of their program so I can’t provide a personal opinion. I browsed the website and I was able to find a series of pros and cons. However, most reviews talk about the opportunity itself and not the discounts so I can’t really tell if the products work.

How To Make Money With Team National?

Sadly, like with their products, the brand failed to provide information about the opportunity they are offering. But since they promote “membership discounts,” there’s a chance that their distributors might sell the same services and/or invite new people to join the platform. After all, this follows an MLM structure.

Team National Compensation Plan

I was quite right when I mentioned how their distributors would make money from the platform. However, it wasn’t that easy. Apparently, their Independent Marketing Directors (IMD) or distributors should be able to close two membership sales per year.

This means that to be qualified for the commissions, they have to invite at least two people and convince them to buy their membership discounts. Canceled memberships won’t affect their sales quota but renewals from their members are not counted.

To become a member, you have to shoulder the membership fee, which is around $25. You won’t pay for it directly instead, it will be deducted from your first payout. You also need to buy their $55-worth IMD Starter Kit.

You also need to choose from the two membership packages:

On top of this, members need to pay $99 for the Big N Website, which includes a couple of Big N Websites and web hosting. Non-members, on the other hand, can get this for $495.

PROS

No Need To Worry About The Inventory

With Team National, you don’t have to worry about your inventories or being forced to purchase and sell loads of items. You’re selling membership discounts, which is not tangible, by the way. So for me, it’s almost hassle-free. But then, there are cons too.

CONS

Expensive Membership Fee And Products

As a Standard Member (the cheapest membership account), you have to spend almost a thousand dollars. This is because other than the membership, you also need to pay the Starter Kit, TNAIIAccess.com, Big N Website, etc.

This is already an advantage as a member, what more for your prospects? I mean, who is more than willing to shell out a huge amount, especially if they’re not certain if this will really help them save?

Low Income Potential

Based on their 2016 Income Disclosure Statement (IDS), the average annual earning of their member (Representative Level) is $0.30. Yes, that’s already for one year.

Imagine, 30 cents income a year versus the amount of investment you need to bring out. Do you really want that?

Not 100% Transparent

I’m not saying that they are not honest with everyone but when it comes to potential members or visitors of their site, they don’t provide the necessary information. Even the FAQ section requires an ID number, meaning, you have to become a member first before you have access to that.

For me, it’s not fair. What if you’re interested but you’re not certain about what to expect, right?

When it comes to their distributors, manufacturers, and suppliers, Team National did a good job of partnering with them. If you’re frequently buying furniture or if you’re looking for insurance, travel incentives, health benefits, etc., you can count on this program. They can give as much as 50% discount so yes, it’s a huge saving.

But if not, you may want to put your money elsewhere and spend time on a program that won’t ask for a massive membership fee.

It’s good to know that Team National is not a scam and is owned by real people unlike scams and other low-quality programs. It’s also impressive to find out how much you can save if you become a member and the potential earnings if you sell the membership discounts.

But then again, it can be tricky because the fees that your potential buyer needs to shoulder is big. I mean, are you really willing to spend $795++ just to become a member? If you’re not a frequent buyer, I think this is more of a ripoff than savings.

Nonetheless, this is helpful for some individuals so the decision is really up to you.
