It’s a company that claims to provide high-quality, stylish accessories and an independent business opportunity.

The question is, is it legitimate or is Fifth Avenue Collection a scam?

‌‌Fifth Avenue Collection is a Multi-level Marketing company that markets a variety of jewelry, specifically targeted for fashion-forward women. 

Being an MLM opportunity, it offers an earning opportunity to independent business owners or what they call “Consultants”. 

The business is a family-owned company that started as a hobby many years ago. 

The Butler family began by cutting and polishing gemstones in the basement of their home. 

As of now, the company is currently spearheaded by Jay Butler. 

As to what is seen on its website, Fifth Avenue Collection appears to be available in the US, Canada, Australia, and South Africa. 

According to the WhoIs domain tool, Fifth Avenue Collection’s domain was created in 2000 but when I checked on the Better Bureau Business (BBB), their BBB file was opened way back in 1991. Apparently, the business started its operations way back in 1991 or earlier and it was perhaps in the year 2000 that they went to do it with the e-commerce business scene.

Fifth Avenue Collection ‌Product‌ ‌Line‌

Product-wise, Fifth Avenue Collection (FAC) products are top of the line. They have a wide variety of jewelry offered from anklets, belts, bracelets, chains, earrings, eyeglasses, keychains, neckpieces, pendants, pins, rings, sets, toe rings, and watches. 

The main market is women but Fifth Avenue Collection also has jewelry for men. 

Looking at their products displayed on the website, I could say that they are indeed attractive, fashionable, and of high quality. 

Well, they even claim that their talented Stylists provide high-quality and on-trend jewelry designs directed to their customers. 

Price-wise, Fifth Avenue Collection’s products are affordable. They have items as low as about $20 and the most expensive product is more than $100. In general, they were fairly priced and can be budget-friendly for most customers unlike the ones sold in similar brands.

They also sell FAC Cares bracelets that give customers a chance to donate $5.

The ‌Fifth Avenue Collection is not a scam. It is an established company that’s been running for a couple of years. 

It may not be a Better Bureau Business (BBB) accredited company yet but it does have an A+ rating. 

Fifth Avenue Collection is a real business that sells legit jewelry products. However, being an MLM, there’s still recruitment hype so unless you’re comfortable with that, it’s best to look for another option. 

Being an MLM, though the Fifth Avenue Collection encourages recruitment, it is not a pyramid scheme. 

Pyramid schemes take place when recruitment becomes the only way to make money but in FAC’s opportunity, there are real products consultants can earn from. By the way, they offer a 50% commission for their retail and we’ll discuss more of that in a while.

So in short, recruitment is not the only means of getting remunerated, as you can even sell their products without recruiting.

It’s not also a Ponzi Scheme as FAC doesn’t promise high rates of return. Yes, most MLMs incentivize recruitment, and yes FAC does encourage recruitment but they don’t necessarily impose it. 

Fifth Avenue Collection’s website provides very basic information with regards to their compensation plan, making it simple and easily understood. 

Basically, Jewellery Stylists or FAC Consultants can earn 50% commission on every sale, they can also have monthly bonus checks in addition to the commissions and the ability to earn free travel. 

They can also provide a full compensation plan available for download or you could as well contact a local Consultant for more information.

Personally, I like their products, looking all so fashionable, dashing, and attractive. 

It’s also good that they have a wide variety of jewelry to choose from and the best part is that compared to similar brands, their products are more affordable.

As an MLM, it’s still one of those businesses that encourage recruitment because, to earn the most amount of money, consultants will need to recruit new representatives to their team. 

It’s intended for those who have skills in sales and are good at recruitment. 

In-Home Show Hassle

It’s good that FAC provides a couple of ways for consultants to sell their products and one is through one on one or in-home shows but personally, the in-home shows are quite a hassle. Well, it can work as a good method to sell but it would not apply to most people.  

Saturated Niche

The fact that this niche is crowded, you’d probably have a hard time with your sales because there’s a lot of competition in the market.

You also have to keep up with the demands to recruit more people into the program to help you do the work.

Low Income Potential

Yes, a 50% commission is indeed great. No offense to that but taking into consideration that it’s a saturated niche, you’d definitely have difficulty selling the products if you don’t have the skills and the right leads. 

Yes, their products are affordable. So, if it’s not that expensive, 50% of the commission from that is not a big deal. 

You’ll probably work yourself more to sell a couple of numbers to gain the substantial income you desire. So, it’s best as a side income opportunity. 

Expensive Starter Packs

Yes, I admire that FACs starter packs are packed with a couple of resources and a lot of products but a $99 priced starter pack is already quite big. 

It may be worth it but not all business starters could afford it. 

The maximum price is even at $1500. This company does charge significantly higher starting prices for their materials than other companies.

As a consultant in Fifth Avenue Collection’s MLM opportunity, you can accessorize and glamourize everywhere you go with mobile technology. 

You can have your own personal website, E-tail social media suite for email campaigns, Facebook posts, Instagram, and blogging.

Aside from these marketing strategies, you could as well earn through one-on-one or in-home shows. FAC says there are a couple of ways to sell their products and they can assist you with their 24/7 online training and support.

The truth is Fifth Avenue Collection is just like your typical standard MLM. 

Yes, the commission rate is at 50% and that is generous but with a saturated niche, you’ll only earn a few dollars in this opportunity. 

Just like most MLM opportunities, people will be able to make some extra money each month with this company, as long as they are willing to put in the necessary time and effort. 

MLM is a legit business model; however, because of its complex compensation plan, it’s not for everyone.
