But can you earn decent money from Userlytics? In this review, I'm going to tell you what user testing is and how Userlytics works.

Userlytics is a user testing platform that provides companies with a customer insight experience. 

In other words, companies need someone to test their website, app, games, or online products. So they pay Userlytics to find testers, and Userlytics pay you to do the testing.

Alejandro Rivas-Micoud founded Userlytics in 2009. The company claims to have worked with Google, Microsoft, American Airlines, L'Oreal, The Washington Post, etc.

On their website, Userlytics claims to have a panel of 750,000 testers.

There are specific instructions provided by the client. It is essential, though, that you think out loud. You need to verbally react and share what you think as you go through the process. 

When you visit a website, certain companies will want to see your reaction and study you. You need a microphone and webcam to do this. Additionally, you will need to download their screen recording program.

Face recording depends on the project. If you are not comfortable having to record yourself, you can look for other tests.

Your data and computer, according to Userlytics, will be protected during the process.

To work as a tester, you need to accomplish several requirements aside from the microphone and webcam. 

Your computer should have a MAC with OSX 10.11 or higher. For people using Windows, you should have a Windows 7 or higher. 

The sign-up process is easy. 

The procedure for registering is as follows:

• Fill in your email address.
• Login to your email and confirm your subscription.
• You'll then be taken to a page where you must fill out basic information about yourself, such as your name, birth date, country, gender, and so on.
• Log in, and you're ready to test.

There are three types of tests that you can do in Userlytics: website testing, mobile app testing, and prototype testing.

Tasks vary, and typical user tests will take 20 to 40 minutes to complete. It includes things like:

• Watch a series of commercials and provide your feedback.
• Test a website's registration procedure.
• Pretend you're shopping for a specific item and go through the steps of buying jeans online
• Give your opinions on a website's content, design, feel, and more.
• Look for particular items on the website.
• Compare a website to that of a competitor in the same business.

After doing a series of tasks, you will be asked questions about your experience in using the website, which includes:

• How user-friendly the website was
• Whether the design, videos, colors, and other elements appealed to you,
• Whether or not you think the site's navigation is well-designed
• Whether or not you agree with the overall concept
• Whether you encountered any issues with logging in or registering
• Whether you'd tell a friend about the site

No, Userlytics is not a scam. It is a legit company with offices in different countries such as the USA, Spain, UK, Canada, France, and Germany. They also have previously worked with well-known corporations. 

There are no reports or reviews from users indicating a scam. In fact, 

Userlytics is registered with Better Business Bureau.

The company also has social media accounts. Although they don't have many followers, you can see comments or reviews from other people.

So what about the scam accusations?

There are times that the client rejects the information provided to them by the tester. Userlytics will not pay the tester, and he will accuse Userlytics of a scam, justified or not.

Usually, though, clients do not approve the user test when testers don't follow the instructions. Therefore, if you like to try user testing, you need to be detail-oriented and meticulous in doing the process.

Userlytics is a legitimate company, and you can trust them, despite some issues.

However, there aren't many tests available. So you're not going to receive any work as a result of this.

So, I don't think it's worth your time. Keep your hopes low if you do sign up.

No, Userlytics is not a Pyramid scheme or a Ponzi scheme. It is a legit company that pays you to test their client's websites.

But if you don't know what these schemes are, I will explain them to you.

A pyramid scheme works like this: members pay a membership fee and are given products to sell. These products are frequently pricey and of poor quality, and they are unlikely to sell. To make money, the company provides another "opportunity" to recruit members. They will be paid a commission if they successfully attract a member.

On the other hand, there are no products in a Ponzi scheme. It's a scam where people invest money in the hopes of getting a more significant return. They also look for new members. Fees from newer members are utilized to pay for older members in this fraudulent scheme.

Some tests reportedly pay up to $90, although the average range appears to be $5 to $20.

That's not that bad because testers will complete most tasks within an hour.

User-specific tests are usually the higher-paying ones. For example, a medical diagnostics company may ask for medical specialists to test their website and provide feedback.

Payments are cleared once the client has examined the test results and approved the feedback. After that, you are paid through PayPal every 15 days.

However, there is a huge problem here: there don't appear to be many offers for you to complete. There are a few tests available compared to the number of testers available. So even if you get paid $90 for one test, you cannot tell when you can perform another test.

Userlytics will notify you via email or when you come online when a website test becomes available. If you do receive an email notice, you must act immediately to receive it. 

They are available on a first-come, first-served basis. So, if you are not always online, you don't have that greater chance to have a test. 

Users can join Userlytics for free. There's no risk in participating, so you can try if Userlytics is right for you.

The rate is okay, but there aren't a lot of projects to do. It’s not practical to rely on this as your only source of income. You can use it as a side hustle but you should have other options, too.

It's A Lot Of Effort To Test

If you would like more tasks, you can work with companies that require you to record your face. To do that, you'll need a screen recorder, a microphone, and a webcam.

Users Are Not Getting Paid When A Client Rejects The Test

There are instances when testers submit their work and clients reject the results.

Userlytics also has a page for frequently asked questions of testers. Finally, another page is available for clients or companies.

Userlytics is the place to go if you're looking to earn extra money. It is legit work, and the company is also established.

It won't replace your employment, so if you can't work a conventional job due to a health issue, or if you need to earn money from home for any reason. Userlytics alone will not alleviate your anxiety.
