What Is MyClearOpinion About? Legit Survey Site Or Another Scam That Wastes Your Time?

Are you curious if you can earn money online? One of the common and easiest ways to do that is through online surveys. You will answer surveys in exchange for money or some other form of payment like a gift card. 

I will review MyClearOpinion today, which is a pretty old survey site established 13 years ago. But is joining MyClearOpinion worth your time? Learn more as I discuss all the details below.

MyClearOpinion is a survey site claiming to use your opinions to help industries. Survey results will be used by clients or a third-party organization to address business issues, services, and offerings. 

The website was established 13 years ago. However, even if it's an old site, there is no information about its founder.

MyClearOpinion gives rewards to participants with points called CLEARcash. 

With a certain amount of points, you can convert it into a gift card.

So, can anyone join? 

Sadly, no. Only 18 years old or older and people who live in the United States are eligible to join this platform.

The website has a different sign-up process compared to other survey sites. Usually, sites will ask for your name and email on the sign-up page. Then, in the email, you will receive a confirmation link. 

For MyClearOpinion, you will first fill up personal information before you enter your email address.

There are basic questions like the year you were born, the country you reside in, and your ethnicity. It also asks you questions about your work like your employment situation, what field you work in, technologies that your company uses, and many other questions concerning your employment.

I'm not too fond of the site because they ask you for sensitive information like your personal address and phone number. 

Although MyClearOpinion says that their website is secure and all of your information is confidential, you will never know. It can be scary if your data is leaked on the internet.

But MyClearOpinion has a good strategy in convincing people to join their platform. After you finish up the registration process, MyClearOpinion will immediately give you 500 CLEARcash points for just signing up. That is already equivalent to $5!  

Product Line

There are three different types of surveys given: Available, Diary Surveys, and Profiler Surveys.

For me, Available is the best survey that you can answer. It has a straightforward process compared to the other two surveys.

The second type is the diary survey. As the name itself, it is a survey that is spread out across several days. It's stressful because you can't complete it in one sitting, and you need to answer several questions each day before you complete it.

The third survey is called the profiler survey, which is not paid. In this kind of survey, you will answer surveys for better profiling. More detailed information about you means that you have a better chance to qualify for more surveys. It's suspicious for me, to be honest because they are already getting information about you and yet will not be paid for your time.

There are many situations when you fill out questions for a survey and find out that you aren't qualified.

If this happens frequently enough, users will eventually abandon the survey site since they waste their time. Therefore, MyClearOpinion tries to stop users from leaving the platform through monthly draws.

If you answer questions but aren't qualified for a survey, you have a chance to win a $100 American Express gift card.

You can also obtain more than one slot in this pool, depending on how many times you've been rejected.

It can serve as a consolation prize if you think about it, but only if you are one lucky person. There is still a lesser chance that you will win the survey if many people entered the monthly draw.

MyClearOpinion is neither a pyramid scheme nor a Ponzi scheme. It is a legit site. 

But for awareness to everybody since schemes are common online, I will explain what these two schemes are.

A pyramid scheme is a scam where members will pay a membership fee and be given products they can sell. Often, these products are expensive and of low quality that they will rarely sell. To make money, the company offers another "opportunity" to earn money by recruiting members. If they successfully recruit a member, they will get a commission from it. 

A Ponzi scheme, on the other hand, has no products. It is a scam in which members invest money with the promise of a higher return. They also recruit members. With this fraudulent strategy, fees from the newer members are used as payment for older members.

The payment process is straightforward. One hundred points = $1, so you have $5 from just signing up on the site. So, you just earned your first $5 online!

There is a threshold limit which means you can only redeem rewards if you have accumulated 500 points. And yes, you can redeem that $5 you got immediately and convert it into gift cards from Amazon, Best Buy, CVS, or Virtual MasterCard. However, Lowes and Home Depot require 1000 points for you to redeem because there are only $10 available gift cards.

One flaw of the platform is its redeem policy. Redeeming used to happen every month. But now, MyClearOpinion changed its policy and will be done quarterly. So, it will take you longer to convert your points. 

The process will be like this:

• Points you earned in January, February, and March can be redeemed in the first week of April.
• April, May, and June points will be redeemed in July, and so on for the remaining months.

Luckily, there is no expiration date for the points. So, if you could not redeem it in the previous quarter, the points will roll over to the next quarter.

Low Payment Threshold

Some survey sites have a minimum payout from $10-$50. Compared to these sites, you can already get your earnings when you reach 500 CLEARcash points, which is equivalent to a $5 gift card.

CONS

It Is Time-Consuming

You have to answer many questions in the hope that you will be qualified for a survey. But if you are not eligible, you will waste your time because you will not get any incentive.

It Has Very Low Earning Potential

There are only a few surveys available on the site and a massive number of participants. So, you will have less of a chance to get a survey.

You Won't Be Able To Participate In Many Surveys

The fact that many of these surveys are seeking a specific demographic irritates me. This implies you won't be able to apply for many jobs (even after filling out a lengthy questionnaire).

Rewards Are Only Available Through Gift Cards

If you are looking to earn cash, MyClearOpinion is not for you. There is no option to convert your points into money, only gift cards.

MyClearOpinion is a legit online opportunity. You can receive gift cards if you answer enough surveys. But like any other survey site out there, there are only a few surveys.

You will be screened first if you match the profile needed for the survey. Therefore, it can be a waste of time when you answer screening questions, but it turns out you are not eligible for the survey.

Survey sites can be easy money because it requires no skill. But, this is only okay if you are bored and have a lot of free time. Earnings in survey sites cannot give you a decent income.

In summary, I don't recommend joining MyClearOpinion or any survey sites. However, you can find other ways to earn money online.
