Is Noonday Collection A Scam? Legit Philanthropic MLM Or Not?

As we all know, women and even as well some men of all ages like fancy jewelry and accessories. Now here comes an opportunity to gain discounts on having such accessories and as well as a chance to earn money. We will now discuss this MLM opportunity, Noonday Collection. 

A lot are teeming over the business scene with such opportunities as this. With such a saturated niche, would this be a great opportunity to gain remunerative income? Is this philanthropic company a legitimate MLM opportunity? More details in this review!

Noonday Collection is a multi-level marketing (MLM) company that offers artisan handcrafted jewelry and accessories. Being an MLM, they offer an affiliate program and they term their members as an Ambassador. There are two sections to their business- the MLM part and the philanthropic part.

Their philanthropic missions extended to various charities that often focus on less fortunate countries. They are one who still operates on a traditional MLM scheme that has you do direct sales and recruitment. 

Noonday Collection was founded in 2010 by Jessica Honegger. Jessica grew up in San Antonio, Texas as the daughter and granddaughter of women who loved style and fashion. Some of Jessica's earliest memories are of digging through her grandmother's treasure trove of jewelry curated from adventures around the world. 

So you now get the idea of why she is fond of these things. Her desire to help the less fortunate was brought about by her travel in Kenya when she was 16. She began to dream of using fashion and design to create economic opportunities for vulnerable communities.

It was in the following year after Noonday collection’s launching, Jessica Honegger launched its MLM opportunity- Ambassador Program in 2011, allowing women to take part in the company by selling their products and recruiting others to join as well. 

The name Noonday Collection came from the bible verse, Isaiah 58:10: "If you spend yourselves on behalf of the hungry and satisfy the needs of the oppressed, then your light will rise in the darkness, and your night will become like the noonday."

Noonday Collection is based in Austin, Texas. 

Noonday Collection Product Line

Noonday Collection markets jewelry and accessories that come in a wide variety of jewelry including necklaces, bracelets, earrings, and rings. They also offer bags, scarves, home goods, belts, gift cards, note cards, etc. 

It’s interesting but it’s not unique. In fact, I have reviewed similar products in the past, such as:

As for the pricing of their jewelry and accessories they are not that expensive. They are pretty much affordable. They even have a product category “$30 and under”. 

Taking also into consideration that they’re trendy and fashionable, I believe it can be easily marketed and sold. They are even Better Bureau Business Accredited and are rated A+.

First of all, they are accredited with the Better Business Bureau (BBB) with an A+ rating. 

Their products are trendy but not too pricey. 

Here are some reviews I’ve found with regards to Noonday Collection products and their opportunity. But hey, having a fashionable line of products and a charitable mission sounds pretty rewarding to me. 

Yet, there’s nothing extraordinary or unique about their products in which most MLM opportunities in this niche also sell. So be the judge and weigh in these reviews below.

How To Make Money With Noonday Collection 

Like any multi-level marketing, there are main ways to earn with Noonday Collection, such as:

• Direct selling commissions or retail sales
• Residual commissions from recruiting and team sales
• Bonuses from team sales and promotions 

Noonday Collection’s compensation plan is not available to the public which may put them at a disadvantage but there are as well other MLM companies that also don’t post their compensation plan.

And here’s what we’ve found more about their compensation plan after some digging:

Affiliate Ranks - Just like most MLMs, you’ll get bonuses and enjoy bigger commissions as your rank levels up. Basically, you’ll move to higher ranks if you hit certain sales and recruitment goals. 

Commission Eligibility - You need to hold a Trunk Show (Similar to a Tupperware party) to be eligible for commissions. A trunk show is an event where you will showcase Noonday Collection products and it will be as well an avenue to recruit people to join as an Ambassador. You’ll have to do this once semi-annually and you’ll also need to earn at least $300 worth of sales with at least 3 different orders.

Retail Sales - 25% and 30% earnings on sales from retail. 

Residual Commission - This is where you get most of your income. Basically, you earn a percentage of all sales below you (downline), which is at an average of 5 to 10%. The lower the tier, the lower the percentage. Your percentage also gets higher if your rank raises.

Smaller Bonuses - Are also available to members based on rank, team sales and residual commissions. Not much information was found as to what these smaller bonuses were.

UPDATE: Thanks to one of the distributors, she mentioned that the compensation plan is avaibale by sending an email or message to their home office or directly to the ambassador.

Noonday Collection is a legitimate MLM opportunity. It is not a scam. It is even a Better Business Bureau (BBB) accredited company which may show its legitimacy. And they do hold an A+ rating from BBB. However, their income disclosure statement and compensation is not made available to the public.

This MLM offers an affiliate program that they call the Ambassador program. In order to be one, you have to choose and purchase one from the following starter kits:

• The Basics ($199)
• The Essentials ($349)
• The Luxe ($699)

On top of the chosen starter kit, you’ll also have to pay a fee of $9.99 monthly which is inclusive of the following:

• Personal e-commerce website
• Back office to manage your business (i.e. order products, manage teams, etc)
• On-demand training courses
• Digital marketing materials for show-and-tells (sales presentations)
• Access to customer service and support

FYI: Regarding the starter kits, the more pricey it is, the more products and training materials you can get. It’s a one-time payment but you can as well purchase them repeatedly.

PROS

Philanthropy Side

As mentioned above they have these charitable missions to help the less fortunate. You could as well see the evidence of what they are doing for a cause in their blogs and website. The Company has already helped people around the globe. 

Well for me, having a business opportunity that also supports a charitable mission sounds pretty rewarding and heartwarming. Not to mention the fact that you’ll only find a few MLMs doing charitable work. The company is legit and it has a trustworthy founder and a very promising mission and background.

More Into Sales 

From what we’ve found out, they prioritize sales a little bit more than recruiting which is a good sign that this is not a pyramid scheme. 

CONS

Trunk Party

Hosting a trunk party is a brilliant idea to maximize product promotion but can also be quite a burden since Ambassadors are required of this in order to be eligible for commissions. 

It can be quite a pressure since you’ll have to do this once semi-annually as an Ambassador and you’re also required to earn at least $300 worth of sales with at least 3 different orders.

No Income Disclosure

They do have a handful of information with regards to their company and mission but unfortunately, they are not transparent with regards to the company’s income disclosure statement. So we can’t be sure if affiliates are really earning or not. 

And also, they don’t have a detailed compensation plan available on their website. This may be quite disappointing for me because I believe these details are necessary for a company to have and these are as well as vital information people should know.

Saturated Market

Noonday Collection is one of those MLMs in the jewelry and accessory niche, so you would probably have a lot of competition in the market with such saturated niches, not to mention the department stores, Amazon and many more online shops. 

So you would have to work hard and innovate strategies to progress sales.

It is a business opportunity intended for those who are fond of jewelry and accessories and that is most probably women. It is also for those who are good at sales and recruitment. 

It is as well for those who are philanthropists who would want to help people and at the same time can have an opportunity to earn income. 

Being a Noonday collection Ambassador, paying the semi-annual fee for the back-end tools gives you the following inclusions:

• Personal e-commerce website
• Back office to manage your business (i.e. order products, manage teams, etc)
• On-demand training courses
• Digital marketing materials for show-and-tells (sales presentations)
• Access to customer service and support

In conclusion, I could say that Noonday Collection is a legitimate MLM opportunity that can give a fairly decent income opportunity. Its charitable works are even commendable and praiseworthy. 

However, being an MLM opportunity that focuses more on sales, it still encourages recruitment. And with no income disclosure statement and compensation plan made available, places it at a disadvantage, that’s why I would not recommend you joining this opportunity. Transparency is a must I could say in any business opportunity. 

Being as well a saturated niche, you would have to work hard and innovate strategies in order to boost sales. So better skip this platform.
