But does this mean that such companies, such as Touchstone Essentials, will be able to provide a lucrative business? Is it even legal in the first place?
All that and more questions to be answered in this unbiased Touchstone Essentials review.
What Is Touchstone Essentials About?
Touchstone Essentials is a multi-level marketing (MLM) company under the health and wellness niche. Most of their products are CBD-infused and claim to detoxify the body, improve energy, boost the immune system, and the like.
If you’re active online or you’re always looking for ways on how to make money, you’ve probably met companies with similar products. If you’ll check our blogs, you can find MLM opportunities with the same essentials, such as:
It’s founded by Eddie Stone in 2012 with its headquarter in Raleigh, North Carolina.
According to his LinkedIn profile, Eddie has been a distributor of various MLM companies, such as Unicity, Rexall Showcase International, and NU Skin. He’s also founded Waiora, another health and wellness company, which unfortunately has received a lawsuit because of fraud.
While Touchstone Essentials is a new brand with, somehow different products, it’s hard to forget about the case that Eddie’s former company has faced.
Touchstone Essentials Product Line
On their website, you’ll find several categories for their products that claim to support joints, the brain, heart, and immune system, improve energy, detoxify the body, increase metabolism, and provide the essential nutrients.
There are a lot of products to choose from but according to their website, there are four bestsellers, including the Pure Body Extra Strength, Super Green Juice, Calm Premium Hemp Oil, and Pure Body Zeolite.
One thing I like about how they present their products is access to their customers’ reviews. It includes the positive and the negative ones so if you’re interested to try their products, you can see feedback easily from their users.
I also like the fact that their products are GMO-free, 100% natural, and vegetarian. Just a word of advice though, their essentials are not approved by the Food and Drug Administration so it’s best to not rely on it as a treatment for any disease.
However, what I don’t like is the price of their essentials. For instance, their 750 mg Hemp Oil costs $87 if you purchase it one-time but if you’re planning to enroll with their monthly autoship program, you can get it for $69. Both prices are expensive considering that you can find similar products from other brands at a lower price.
But then, that’s usual with MLM companies. Other than the recruitment part, selling overpriced products is also typical for networking.
How To Make Money With Touchstone Essentials
Like other MLM companies, there are two options for their distributors to make money.
The first one is to sell their products. As a member, you can buy their items at a discounted rate and earn by selling it based on their suggested retail price.
The other option is to recruit people to join the platform and earn around 5% to 20% from your downline’s sale. This means that you don’t just invite your friends and families, they also have to maintain the required PV to keep their account active and for you to earn commissions.
In addition, you get bonuses based on your and your team’s performance. The more sales you make, the more commissions you get. Also, the more recruits you have, the bigger the chance for you to get to a higher rank, thus the more bonuses to get.

Is Touchstone Essentials A Scam?
Touchstone Essentials is still a new company being founded in 2012. However, it’s legit and the company does exist. Unlike other MLM brands, a founder is a real person who disclosed his real identity.
But then, it’s still too early to make assumptions.
Whether it’s registered in the Better Business Bureau (BBB) or not, you might be relieved to know that it’s accredited by the agency with an A+ rating. On the complaints/comments section, it’s also worth commending to see positive notes instead of the usual backlashes.
I just have a few drawbacks in mind that you might consider, too.
First of all, the lawsuit that the previous company that the founder has. Yes, Touchstone Essentials is a different brand but being in the same niche with almost the same products, I would be careful about this.
Another thing is the expensive products. While it’s understandable since not everyone is allowed to culture CBD, you can still find alternatives online that are way cheaper. So if you’re a distributor, you should really think of ways on how to make your products stand out or else, it might be hard to make money from it, let alone get your investment back.
Also, if you’re a beginner, you might have difficulties in making money since the compensation plan is based mostly on recruitments. I have nothing against this since this is part of the MLM structure; however, for starters, this can be frustrating.
If you’re looking for a way to make money by promoting the products that you love, I suggest that you try affiliate marketing instead.
Like MLM, this business model is legit and has been used by many people in the world. The difference is that you don’t need to buy the products itself and subscribe to monthly autoships just to earn commissions.
Also, when you sign up with the top-recommended affiliate marketing program called Wealthy Affiliate, you don’t need to pay just to gain access to important tools to start your business.
Price
Touchstone Essentials offer three Starter Kits, including:
- Detox Super Pack $129.95
- Transform Pack $149
- Advantage Pack $659
You also need to pay for the VBO pass that costs $19.95 a year; however, you will not shoulder this one if you choose to purchase the Advantage Pack.
On top of this, you have to maintain at least 100 Personal Volume (PV) per month to keep your account active.

Pros/Cons
PROS
Legit MLM Company
Nothing is astonishing about Touchstone Essentials but we do commend their legitimacy. There are a lot of scams online so it’s just worth noticing the brands that offer real products and real business opportunities.
CONS
Too Many Companies Selling Similar Products
In our website alone, we’ve reviewed a dozen MLM companies with CBD-based products, such as My Daily Choice, Green Compass Global, Changing The Future Outcome, CBD BioCare, and Bocannaco.
Other than this, there are cheaper alternatives online and offline so considering this, it would be challenging to market it in the public.
Limited Income Potential
Other than the products and its price, the market you have is limited simply because of the CBD. In other states and most countries, products with these ingredients are still not allowed.
That being said, you can only promote it in limited locations.
Expensive Membership Fee And Products
To become a member, you have to purchase a starter kit and pay for the VBO Pass (unless you purchase the most expensive package). You also have to enroll in their monthly autoship subscription to keep your account active.
If you are selling your products regularly, then this is not a problem; if not, you might be annoyed by the piles of products in your garage.
No Income Disclosure Statement
They’ve been in the market for more than five years so we guess it’s just fair to share the details of their members’ earnings. This would give everyone an idea if there’s really an opportunity to make money with them or none.
Now, we’re not sure why Touchstone Essentials is not transparent with this. Maybe it’s because their members are not earning enough or they just don’t care about sharing this information.

Who Is It For?
It’s for those who have tried their products and actually like it. This way, it would be easier to market the products since they can just share their experience and what they like about it.
Also, it’s ideal for those who have been a distributor in an MLM company in the past.
Final Opinion/Verdict
It’s good to know that Touchstone Essentials is a legit company with quality products; however, there’s nothing really unique to it. We do know that there’s a high demand in CBD-infused essentials so we think there’s still a market for this.
However, if you’re looking for a way to make money but you’re not comfortable with recruitment and spending a huge amount as an investment, then you can consider my option below.
